While it is true that Jesus rescues and redeems individual hearts, this does not mean we’re meant to pursue faith in isolation. Following Jesus is certainly personal, but He should not be followed alone. We’ve saved to be part of a larger body where each member is called and equipped to help the others.

This design necessitates community and gathering… and to neglect these is to choose our own harm.
