Ecclesiastes might be one of the most unique portions of God’s Word. Filled with words of skepticism about life and its purpose, we are tempted to walk away from its pages with a taste of discouragement and pessimism in our hearts. However, when read and handled as a whole, there is true hope and joy to be found. Life is hard. This world is broken. Our striving and effort often prove fruitless… but God is still God, and He is always both sovereign and good. Ultimately, true hope can only be found in Him, and this is reason for genuine joy and confidence.
